Welcome
Taking the step to seek counselling is a significant and often courageous decision, one which can be driven by difficult life circumstances, trauma, loss, or even a sense that something is just ‘not quite right’.
Regardless of the reason, I ultimately believe that the decision to come to counselling is driven by a deep intuitive desire to grow, to challenge the protective barriers that may be blocking self-acceptance and self-expression, and to become authentically ones’ True Self.
My Approach
My name is Jade and I have a Masters (MSc) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. To find out a little more about me please click this link. I work predominantly in a Person-Centred way which means that I create a space where clients may connect with their own inner voice, in a safe, non-judgemental and compassionate environment.
The counselling space is one of inner exploration, a space where we may lay down the masks we wear when facing the outside world and find out who we really are, without fear of judgement or rejection.
I work in-person from my therapy room or online, and I offer both long term and short term therapy sessions.

The Process
At the heart of the person-centred approach is the belief in each individuals self-wisdom, that each person intuitively knows their own path to growth and recovery.
We can however become disconnected from this self-wisdom, and instead seek validation externally, which of course creates a great deal of anxiety and fear. The process of therapy supports clients to reconnect with their inner being so that they may begin to live in accordance with the fluid emotional guidance it provides. It is through this reconnection that they may heal from past trauma and realign their inner and outer worlds.
Putting the therapeutic process itself into words is difficult, the process often goes beyond words, as anyone who has felt the power of therapy will attest to. It’s a right brain to right brain connection, where the compassion and attunement of the therapist gently begins to shift something in the nervous system and neural networks of the client. A connection that can free us to meet behind our seperateness.
